Leaving soon

Our team is preparing to leave for Murmansk on Thursday.  The team is Jaclyn Bowers, Gayle Wishon, and Tim Wishon.  The remaining time will be pass quickly as we try to finish up at work, make arrangements with those caring for our children, and finalize our packing.  Please be in prayer for the first part of our travel from Charlotte to Moscow.  We'll leave Charlotte Thursday morning, stop at JFK for a couple of hours, then on to Moscow.  Two prayer requests here: first that our bags make it with us to Moscow and second, that Gayle can sleep on the trans-Atlantic portion of the flight!  It always helps to arrive in Moscow having at slept at least a few hours on the plane.

Please pray for a member of our team who had planned to go, but had to pull out for medical reasons at the last moment.  Fred Linkenhoker has been with us to Murmansk a few times, and has really developed a heart for those who live there.  Pray for healing for Fred and an opportunity for him to join us on the next trip.

We are so thankful that the Lord has given us this opportunity.  My prayer for Gayle and Jaclyn is that they fall in love with the people of Murmansk the same way I have, and that God would use us to share His great love with those we meet.

We will try to keep the blog up to date with pictures and updates of our activities.  Please remember that for most of you we will be 8 hours ahead (if you live in the eastern time zone of the US).
