Our travel to Murmansk involved stopovers in Helsinki and Moscow. By the time we made it to Helsinki we were pretty tired, but ready to get off the plane. We went downtown to look around, and met a young lady, Sterling, from the US. She had been backpacking around Europe for a couple of months. She joined us for lunch and we visited some churches. Please pray for her safety, as well as guidance from the Lord when she returns home to the states.
We were tired when we got to Moscow, and unfortunately it was raining. Red Square was closed in preparation for a concert, so we walked around and saw a few sites. We also had lunch with the head of the Moscow seminary. Tommy and Ben enjoyed hearing about his conversion and the work at the seminary.
We arrived in Murmansk around midnight to bright sunny skies, as the polar day has already started. After a short night's sleep we got up and went to worship with our friends. It is always so wonderful to be together with other believers. This evening we joined our friends for a picnic- outstanding!
Our time at the university starts tomorrow, as well as our evening English meetings. Please pray for us to be able to show the love of Christ to all we meet.
