We had our first evening of meetings last night. It was a good turnout, about 50 people. We are praying for more to come tonight, and are trusting the Lord to send people our way. There are about 20 first time attenders, and the rest have been before. We love the fact that many will hear the Gospel shared for perhaps the fourth or fifth time, while others will hear for the very first time. Regardless of how many times they have heard we pray that this will be the week they commit their lives to Christ.
We dropped off some pen-pal letters today at a local school which were sent from students at CCS in Charlotte. We hope that the students can begin relationships through correspondence that will allow them to have a view of people from different backgrounds and cultures.
It continues to be warm, right around freezing. This makes it so much easier on us as we do a lot of walking to and from our appointments each day.
